Three Killed in Fresno Crash at Cedar and Floral Avenues

Fresno, California (September 18, 2022) – Three people were killed in a two-vehicle accident at an intersection in Fresno on Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened at Cedar and Floral avenues shortly before 1:47 p.m.
According to the report, an SUV was traveling west on Floral Avenue when the driver failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a Ford flatbed truck heading south on Cedar Avenue.
Both vehicles overturned and came to a rest at the southwest corner of the intersection, where they burst into flames.
The three occupants of the SUV died in the incident.
At least one person was taken to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
It's unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.

Fresno, California (September 18, 2022) – One person died in a fiery car crash on Sunday afternoon in Fresno.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 1:47 p.m. on Cedar Avenue at Floral Avenue.
Two vehicles collided on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
The impact of the collision sent one of the cars off the roadway where it crashed into a power pole.
One of the vehicles rolled over and caught fire. One man was trapped inside the burning car.
One person was killed in the accident.
The identity of the deceased person was not disclosed.
More details about the accident were not released.
CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
