Police say a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck rear-ended a red Mini Cooper that was stopped in the fourth lane of the 80 Freeway

San Francisco, Calif. – The San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office has identified the three people who died in a car crash on the Bay Bridge in San Francisco on Thursday morning.
The accident happened at around 4:30 a.m. on February 15, on the Bay Bridge near Treasure Island Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police say a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck rear-ended a red Mini Cooper that was stopped in the fourth lane of the 80 Freeway.
CHP officers arrived at the scene and attempted to revive the driver of the Mini Cooper, who sadly succumbed to injuries at the scene.
A passenger in the back seat of the Mini Cooper was also pronounced dead at the scene.
A third passenger of the Mini Cooper was rushed to San Francisco General where they later died.
The three victims have since been identified as Bim Thorpe, 29, Lorissa Weller, 38, and Sean Luttjohann, 59.
The driver of the pickup truck was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
