Santa Barbara, CA – Three people were injured following a two-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon in Santa Barbara.
According to Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the wreck happened on June 1 on Highway 101 north of Nojoqui Summit.
A first car carrying an elderly man and woman collided with a second vehicle driven a female in unclear circumstances.
Both elderly woman and man suffered minor to moderate injuries and were taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital via ground ambulance.
The other female driver was also rushed to Santa Ynez Cottage Hospital with minor injuries.
One of the vehicles went 10 to 20 feet off the side of the highway. No extrication was needed.
One lane of the 101 was temporarily closed during the on-site investigation.
No additional information regarding the mishap was available.
An investigation is ongoing.
