Otay Mesa, CA.- A 37-year-old man was hit and killed by a vehicle in the Otay Mesa area of San Diego on Friday evening, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The crash took place at Del Sol Boulevard and Kostner Drive at about 6:58 p.m. August 2.
Police said the man was walking across the street when he was hit by a 2010 Toyota Rav4 driven by a 77-year-old woman.
According to the report, the woman failed to stop for the stop sign and hit the pedestrian.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Impairment was not suspected to have played a role in the accident, the CHP said.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
