A silver Mazda pickup truck crashed with another vehicle in the area and the impact caused the truck to strike a power pole

Cupertino, CA – Four children were hurt in a collision in Cupertino on Saturday evening, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office.
The collision took place in the area of Foothill and Stevens Creek boulevards at about 6:15 p.m. April 27.
According to the report, a silver Mazda pickup truck crashed with another vehicle in the area and the impact caused the truck to strike a power pole.
Four children, aged between 4 and 11 were on the sidewalk at the time and were hit by at least one of the vehicles.
Medics performed life-saving measures on two of the children who had serious injuries.
The four children were taken to hospital and one of them was in critical condition.
The 38-year-old Cupertino man driving the Mazda was arrested on charges of DUI causing serious bodily injury.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
