4 Critically Injured in San Francisco's Inner Sunset Crash

, California (July 5, 2022) – Four people were critically injured in a San Francisco crash involving pedestrians that occurred Monday evening in the city's Inner Sunset neighborhood.

The tragic incident happened at around 5:50 p.m. at 9th Avenue and Boulevard near the Golden Gate Park.

San Francisco Supervisor Myrna Melgar tweeted that a car slammed into another vehicle, hitting multiple people waiting at the stop at the intersection. The crash left four people in critical condition, as per the supervisor.

San Francisco police responded to the scene and notified paramedics to respond.

4 Pedestrians Critically Hurt in San Francisco Accident

The paramedics transported the injured persons to local hospitals with unknown injuries, according to police.

San Francisco Department of Emergency Management issued an alert on their tweeter account. The department advised motorists to avoid the intersection following the collision, saying that the 7 Haight bus is being rerouted around the area due to a Muni-involved crash.

Authorities are investigating the accident.
