Four Hospitalized after Crash on McClure Tunnel near I-

Santa Monica, CA – A crash that occurred on the McClure Tunnel in Santa Monica on Tuesday afternoon sent four people to a hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident happened at about 2:10 p.m. May 7, on the McClure Tunnel, which connects the I-10 Freeway and the Pacific Coast Highway.

The CHP said two vehicles traveling northbound were involved in a collision, whose impact caused a Dodge Challenger to fly over the median into the southbound side.

The Dodge Challenger was then hit by a southbound Honda Accord.

One person in the Honda and three in the Dodge were taken to UCLA with moderate injuries.

Another vehicle is believed to have also been involved in the accident but the driver left the scene.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
