Four Hurt in El Dorado Accident on Highway 49 near China Hill Road
El Dorado, California (June 5, 2022) – Four people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred in El Dorado last Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred on Highway 49 near China Hill Road at around 1 p.m. on May 29.
CHP said an Orangevale woman in her 70s was driving a 2004 Toyota Avalon northbound on Highway 49 when she drifted into the northbound side and collided head-on with a 2012 Acura TL.
A Honda Accord traveling northbound also collided with the Avalon.
The involved drivers and a passenger in the Acura were all taken to Marshall Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Avalon had minor injuries, while the other three patients were seriously hurt.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
