Palmdale, Calif. – Authorities are investigating a three vehicle collision involving a LACFD vehicle Thursday morning in Palmdale.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at around 10:10 a.m. on Palmdale Boulevard near 140th Street East.
Reportedly, a Ford F-150 collided with a Nissan Altima in unclear circumstances. The Ford then then smashed into a Los Angeles County Fire Department Dodge Ram that was heading east.
The Dodge driver was airlifted to the hospital with severe injuries. The Ford driver and the passenger were also hospitalized with major and minor injuries respectively.
The operator of the Nissan was transported to a hospital with minor injuries by an ambulance.
The mishap impacted the roadway for several hours during the on-scene investigation.
