, California (March 9, 2022) – Four people were injured in two separate traffic collisions involving a wrong-way driver on Tuesday night in Santa Barbara.

The California Highway Patrol said the first crash happened at around 7:39 p.m. at Highway 101 and Alisos Canyon Road and the second occurred at the Highway 154 interchange.

A wrong-way driver reportedly struck a car and continued driving south where he caused a second collision.

Four people were injured in the accident. Three of the victims had major injuries.

One person was airlifted while the other victims were transported by ambulance.
