Officials said two vehicles were involved in a major crash.
Marion County, OR. – Five persons were hospitalized following a two-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning in Marion County.
According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened at around 6:14 a.m. July 2, on River Road Northeast at Waconda Road Northeast.
Officials said two vehicles were involved in a major crash.
Five persons were transported to Salem Hospital for treatment. The degree of their injuries was not immediately known.
Authorities did not suspect impairment or speed to have played a role in the crash.
PGE crews arrived at the scene to fix several poles damaged following the collision.
Officials closed River Road Northeast to give way to emergency teams as they worked on the scene.
The roadway was cleared just after 1:00 p.m.
