Five people in the Golf were taken to Confluence Health Hospital Central Campus in Wenatchee with unspecified injuries

Leavenworth, Wash. – Five people were injured in a head-on collision on Saturday afternoon in Leavenworth.
The Washington State Patrol said the accident was reported at around 2:30 p.m. on Highway 2 near North Road.
A 16-year-old from Damascus was driving a 2019 Volkswagen Gold eastbound on Highway 2 when he lost control of the car, crossed the center median and collided head-on with a westbound 2013 Jeep Wrangler.
Five people in the Golf were taken to Confluence Health Hospital Central Campus in Wenatchee with unspecified injuries.
The Jeep driver, Aaron Jacobs, 36, of Cashmere, was uninjured.
Police say alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the crash, but the driver of the Golf is under investigation for charges, including vehicular assault related to reckless driving.
The accident remains under investigation.
