Woman Killed in Skyway Multi-Vehicle Crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Way near South 129th Street
Skyway, Wash. – A 52-year-old driver was killed and two other people were injured early Tuesday morning following a multi-vehicle traffic collision in Skyway, according to Washington State Patrol.
The crash happened shortly before 8:00 a.m. on Martin Luther King Jr. Way near South 129th Street.
According to the WSP, a 52-year-old driver was traveling westbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Way and tried to make a U-turn when they were hit by a car heading in the same direction.
The impact sent the first car over the centerline into oncoming traffic where it was struck by another vehicle. The third vehicle was then struck by another car when it lost control while avoiding the crash.
The first driver died at the scene. Two people, ages 78 and 26 years, were hospitalized following the crash. One of the patients had serious injuries.
