Compton Man Dies in Long Beach Crash on Willow Street near Coyote Creek
Long Beach, California (May 8, 2022) – A 53-year-old Compton man died following a suspected DUI collision in Long Beach on Tuesday evening, according to the Long Beach police.
The incident took place on Willow Street near Coyote Creek at around 6:20 p.m. on May 3.
Authorities said Bryan Gayley, 66, of Long Beach, was driving a 2017 Subaru Outback at a high rate of speed eastbound on Willow Street when he rear-ended a 1995 GMC Yukon driven by the Compton man.
The crash caused the Yukon to swerve off the roadway and it rolled over onto a flood-control channel below.
