Police said a 55-year-old woman was walking south on State Street when she attempted to cross W. Cedar Street and was hit by a westbound 2003 GMC Yukon that was being driven by a 53-year-old man

San Diego, Calif. – A woman was injured in a traffic collision in the Little Italy neighborhood of San Diego on Saturday evening.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the collision happened at about 6:45 p.m. January 27, at State and W. Cedar streets.
Police said a 55-year-old woman was walking south on State Street when she attempted to cross W. Cedar Street and was hit by a westbound 2003 GMC Yukon that was being driven by a 53-year-old man.
The woman was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The involved motorist stayed at the scene after the incident.
The San Diego Police Department is investigating the incident.
