San Pedro, CA – Six people were injured, two severely, after a police chase that ended into a collision on 19th Street in San Pedro Friday afternoon.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the wreck happened at around 12:36 p.m. at 19th Street and Pacific Avenue.
Reportedly, a police officer attempted to pull over a driver for a felony warrant, the suspect failed to stop and the police initiated a brief chase.
The suspect collided with another vehicle at the intersection shortly after the chase.
Six people were injured, including a 25-year-old man and 35-year-old woman, who suffered severe injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The other four victims were assessed at the crash site but were not hospitalized.
The suspect driver was arrested and taken to the custody. They were later taken to the hospital for treatment of the injuries sustained in the crash.
No additional information about the incident was available.
