Cajon Pass, CA – Six people were injured following a major traffic collision involving five vehicles in the Cajon Pass on Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The multi-vehicle accident happened at approximately 10:49 a.m. on May 2, 2025, in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15, near mile marker 25.70, just north of Highway 138

California Highway Patrol said there was heavy fog, with visibility reduced to just 50 feet at the time of the crash.

San Diego Fire Department responded to the scene and found six people with various injuries such as head, back, chest, arm, and leg trauma, with at least one person reportedly bleeding.

The roadway was briefly shut down as crews worked to extricate trapped patients and clear the wreckage.
