Homeland Man Killed in Temecula Car Accident on Highway 74 near Sultanas Road

Riverside County, California (August 29, 2022) – A Homeland man was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Sunday afternoon in Riverside County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Highway 74 near Sultanas Road at about 2:23 p.m. on August 27.
According to the report, the 67-year-old Homeland man was driving a 2011 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck northbound on Sultanas Road when he stopped at Highway 74, then pulled directly into the path of an eastbound 1999 Ford F-250 pickup that had the right-of-way.
The Ford, which was being driven by a 44-year-old Hemet resident, crashed into the driver's side of the Tacoma.
The driver of the Tacoma was extricated from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Ford was not injured.
An investigation into the deadly incident is ongoing.
