Salinas, CA. – At least seven people were injured in a head-on collision that happened on Saturday night in Salinas.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 11:01 p.m. on Salinas Road near Elkhorn Road.
An Oakland resident was driving an Infiniti FX35 southbound on the highway when he drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming Chevrolet Silverado.
The impact of the collision caused the SUV to overturn.
The 23-year-old Moss Landing man driving the Chevrolet and his juvenile passenger were taken to a hospital with moderate to major injuries.
