8 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on 8 Freeway in Winterhaven
Imperial County, California (August 4, 2022) – Eight people were injured in a collision involving a semi-truck on Thursday morning in Winterhaven on Thursday morning.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened at around 10:30 a.m. on Interstate 8 Freeway.
A semi-truck and two vehicles were involved in the collision.
Officials say one vehicle had four passengers. The other vehicle had three passengers. Only the driver was inside the semi-truck.

Seven people were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
The semi-truck driver was also hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
