Around 3:10 a.m., California Highway Patrol officers and other emergency crews responded to eastbound Interstate 80 near the Cordelia weigh station and south of Solano Community College after they were notified about a collision.
Fairfield, CA. – Eight people were sent to the hospital after multiple vehicles collided early Sunday morning on a freeway in Fairfield.
Around 3:10 a.m., California Highway Patrol officers and other emergency crews responded to eastbound Interstate 80 near the Cordelia weigh station and south of Solano Community College after they were notified about a collision.
The responders found four vehicles involved in the accident.
Eight people suffered injuries ranging from minor to major. The patients were transported to hospitals for treatment. All the injuries were considered non-life-threatening.
I-80 was shut down for about 25 minutes following the crash. All lanes were back open at 3:40 a.m.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
