6 Injured in Westlake Pedestrian Accident on South Alvarado Street
Los Angeles, California (June 11, 2022) – Several pedestrians were injured after being struck by a vehicle in Westlake on Saturday morning.
The pedestrian accident happened on the 600 block of South Alvarado Street at around 9:10 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A truck was traveling on the roadway when the driver swerved abruptly and lost control of the vehicle.
The truck jumped a curb and struck nine pedestrians.
Six pedestrians were injured in the crash and were transported to the hospital. One of the patients was listed in critical condition.
Three people who were struck declined medical transport.
More details about the crash were not provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
