Aaron Buenrostro Hurt in Fatal Merced Accident near Childs Avenue and Kibby Road
Merced, California (September 13, 2022) – Aaron Buenrostro, 35, of Manteca, was injured in a deadly traffic collision that took place on Thursday morning in Merced, according to the authorities.
The wreck happened at about 6 a.m. September 8, in the area of Childs Avenue and Kibby Road.
According to police, Buenrostro was driving a Dodge Ram PG&E truck eastbound on East Childs Avenue when he tried to make a left turn onto Kibby Road and was struck by a Scion xB traveling westbound.
Buenrostro was transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.
A passenger in the Scion, identified as a 75-year-old woman, was killed in the collision.
The driver of the Scion, a 67-year-old woman, was airlifted to a hospital with major injuries.
The intersection was shut down for hours as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The crash remained under investigation.
