According to the CHP Napa County Area Office, a 2013 Nissan Sentra and a 2010 Toyota Corolla were involved in a head-on collision.
Napa County, CA. – Aaron Kennedy Alvarez was arrested after a juvenile died in a two-vehicle collision that happened Friday afternoon in Pope Valley, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck occurred around 4:40 p.m. on Chiles Pope Valley Road near Barnett Road.
According to the CHP Napa County Area Office, a 2013 Nissan Sentra and a 2010 Toyota Corolla were involved in a head-on collision.
Investigators said Alvarez was driving the Toyota with a juvenile passenger inside when he collided with the Nissan under unclear circumstances.
The juvenile passenger died in the accident. Details about the relationship between the minor and the driver were not available.
Alvarez was flown to a nearby hospital for treatment of major injuries. He was also arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The driver of the Nissan was hospitalized with minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
