Adimada Fekitoa, Keola Cook Among 4 Killed in Fresno County Collision on Interstate 5 near Highway 33

Fresno County, California (March 3, 2022) – Adimada Fekitoa, 9, of Auburn, Washington, and Keola James Cook, 13, of Auburn, Washington, were among four people who died in a collision on I-5 in Fresno County on Wednesday morning, the CHP said.
The collision took place shortly before 9:30 a.m., on March 2, on the southbound side of I on Interstate 5, north of Highway 33.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Maikolo Fekitoa, 52, of Auburn, Washington, was driving a Chrysler Aspen minivan southbound on Interstate 5 when it drifted to the right shoulder and slammed into a parked big rig.

Four passengers in the van, Adimada, Keola, Lute Katalina Fekitoa, 43, of Auburn, Washington, and Naomi Cook, 25, of Edmonds, Washington, were all killed in the collision.
Maikolo and two other passengers, Henry Cook, 37, of Edmonds, Washington, and a girl aged 11, were transported to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
Two of the patients were transported by ambulance, while the third was airlifted.
Four of the passengers in the van were ejected due to the impact of the collision.
No other injuries were reported.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
