Alantae Hemmingway Arrested after Deadly Sacramento Crash on Grand Avenue and Norwood Avenue
Sacramento, California (February 13, 2022) – Alantae Hemmingway, 33, was arrested after a fatal crash that occurred in Sacramento on Thursday night, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
Sasi Kamleshwar Prasad, 57, died in the collision that happened on Grand Avenue and Norwood Avenue just before 10:40 p.m. February 10.
Prasad was driving a vehicle that was involved in the collision with Hemmingway's vehicle.
Sacramento police said Prasad was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
Alantae Hemmingway Arrested after Deadly Sacramento Car Accident
Hemmingway and two other people were transported to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Police later arrested Hemmingway on charges including gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and booked him into the Sacramento County Main Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
