Kalar was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was pronounced deceased

Grays Harbor County, WA – Allan B. Kalar, 80, of Elma, was killed in a collision that took place in Grays Harbor County on Monday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The wreck took place on U.S. Highway 12 near milepost 29, at about 1 p.m.
The WSP said Kalar was driving his 2002 Ford Taurus on the highway when he drifted across the centerline and collided head-on with an oncoming 1990 logging truck that was driven by Shannon J. Toso, 51, of Morton.
Kalar was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was pronounced deceased.
Toso was hurt in the accident but declined medical aid.
The WSP is investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
