At Least One Person Seriously Injured in Alta Car Crash near Alta Bonnynook Road
Alta, California (February 27, 2022) – At least one person sustained serious injuries following a Friday afternoon car crash in Alta, Placer County.
The major injury collision occurred just after 12:46 p.m. on February 25 on Interstate 80 near the Alta Bonnynook Road onramp. Interstate 80 is also known as Alan Hart Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a pickup rear-ended a semi-truck on the westbound side of the highway near the Alta Bonnynook Road onramp.
The driver of the pickup sustained major injuries, including a broken arm and injuries to their head. The patient was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The semi-truck driver was not injured.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
