Rider Injured in American Canyon Motorcycle Crash on Highway 12 near Highway 29

American Canyon, California (September 29, 2021) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after colliding with a semi-truck Wednesday morning on a highway in American Canyon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck was reported at about 8:16 a.m. on westbound Highway 12 near Highway 29 and just east of Chardonnay Golf Club.
Reportedly, the motorcyclist crashed into a United Rentals truck under unclear circumstances.
The rider was lying down in the roadway after the crash, and the motorcycle was also blocking both traffic lanes.
Motorcyclist Injured in American Canyon Accident
Medical personnel responded to the scene and transported the motorcyclist to the hospital with moderate to major injuries.
The westbound lane of the freeway near Spurs Trail was closed until 8:45 a.m. following the collision.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
