Amy Adams ID'd as Woman Killed in San Francisco Pedestrian Accident at Powell Street BART Station

San Francisco, California (September 16, 2021) – The woman who died after being struck by a BART train Monday afternoon in downtown San Francisco has been identified as Amy Adams, 41, of San Francisco.
The deadly accident happened at around 3:16 p.m. Monday, September 13, at the Powell Street BART Station.
Authorities said Adams boarded the Dublin/Pleasanton-bound train with her dog tethered to her waist at the Powell Street station. She then stepped off the train at a platform to wave at someone just as the doors were closing.
Adams clear the doors. As the train departed with the dog inside the train, Adams was pulled and dragged along the rtack.
Adams was declared dead at the scene. The dog was not injured.
The Powell Street BART Station was temporarily close following the incident.
No further details regarding the crash were immediately given.
The collision remains under investigation.
