Ana Meraz Killed in Merced County Accident at East Mission Avenue and Highway 59

Merced County, California (June 1, 2022) – Ana Meraz, 30, of Merced, was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Sunday morning in Merced County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened on East Mission Avenue and Highway 59 at around 11:29 a.m. on May 29.
CHP said Adrian Meraz, 31, of Madera, was driving a 2016 Ford Fusion westbound on Mission Avenue when he failed to stop for a stop sign and was struck on the passenger side by a 2017 Toyota Tacoma traveling southbound on Highway 59.
Ana Meraz was a passenger in the Ford and was rushed to Merced Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.
There were no further details on the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
