Man Killed, 4 Injured in Anaheim Crash at S. Magnolia Avenue and Ball Road; 28-Year-Old Man Arrested

Anaheim, CA: Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash at S. Magnolia Avenue and Ball Road

, California (December 5, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Sunday morning traffic accident that killed one person in Anaheim and left four others injured.

The deadly three-vehicle crash occurred at around 1:53 a.m. at the intersection of South Magnolia Avenue and Ball Road.

According to the Anaheim Police Department, a black Nissan Murano was traveling westbound on Ball Road when the driver allegedly ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a black 2016 Honda Accord.

One of the vehicles then hit a Toyota Camry that had stopped at the red light facing Magnolia Avenue.

Firefighters responded to the scene and extricated one person who was trapped inside their vehicle.

A 49-year-old man, who was a back seat passenger of the Honda, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Three 30-year-old men, who were in the Honda, were taken to nearby hospitals with minor injuries.

The driver of the Nissan, an Anaheim resident, was arrested on suspicion of DUI. His condition was unknown.

No one was injured in the Toyota.

The crash remains under investigation.
