Ann Von Zastrow Among 3 Injured in Madera County Accident on Highway 41 and Road 406

County, California (May 20, 2022) – Ann Sophie Von Zastrow was among three people injured in a traffic crash that happened on May 16 in Madera County, the California Highway Patrol said.

At around 5:50 p.m., a 2008 Honda Accord was traveling southbound on when it drifted into the path of oncoming traffic near Road 406 and collided head-on with a 2020 GMC Canyon.

The impact caused the Honda to spin, and it struck a rock embankment. 

According to CHP, the driver of the Accord was pinned in her vehicle and was extricated by emergency crews.

The driver was flown to Community Regional Medical Center in with major injuries.

Zastrow was a passenger in the GMC. Both occupants of the GMC sustained minor injuries, but were not transported.

Drugs and alcohol were not suspected to be factors in the collision CHP said.

The investigation is ongoing.
