Anthony Reinke Injured in Deadly Twentynine Palms Accident on Indian Trail and Morongo Road
Twentynine Palms, California (January 20, 2022) – Anthony Reinke, 32, of Yucca Valley was injured in a fatal collision that happened on Thursday morning in Twentynine Palms, according to the authorities.
At around 6:10 a.m., 49-year-old Joel Almeida of Gaithersburg was reportedly southbound on Morongo Road in a black 2019 Nissan Pathfinder when he was hit on the passenger side by a black 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven eastbound on the Indian Trail by Reinke.
Christiellen Almeida, 47, was a passenger in the Nissan and was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Anthony Reinke Injured in Fatal Twentynine Palms Collision
Reinke was transported to MCAGCC base hospital with moderate injuries following the collision.
Joel Almeida had moderate injuries and was transported to Hi-Desert.
A 6-year-old boy who was riding in the Nissan sustained major injuries and was taken to Loma Linda Medical Center.
A 12-year-old girl who was also in the Nissan was transported to Desert Regional with moderate injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the collision.
