Bakersfield, CA – The pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle in Bakersfield on Monday has been identified as Antoinette Andrea Rodriguez, 30, of Bakersfield, according to the Kern County Coroner's Office.
The crash took place on Niles and Oswell streets on April 22.
The report said that Rodriguez was walking north across the eastbound lanes of Niles Street when she was hit by an eastbound Kia.
Rodriguez was transported to Kern Medical, where she was later pronounced deceased.
The driver remained at the scene and was not suspected of DUI.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
