San Jacinto, CA. – 36-year-old Antonio Cervantes has been identified as the Hemet man who died in a car crash that left one other person severely injured in San Jacinto on Friday night.
The accident happened around 10:10 p.m. near the intersection of San Jacinto and Esplanade Avenues, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The officers who responded to the incident located two vehicles at the accident scene.
The Riverside County Fire Department also responded and provided medical aid to the drivers after extricating them.
Both were transported to the hospital where Cervantes succumbed to his injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
