April Lyon Killed in Adelanto Crash at Adelanto Road and Air Expressway
Adelanto, California (September 22, 2021) – April Lyon, 41, of Adelanto was killed in a car accident that took place in Adelanto on Saturday evening, according to authorities.
The accident occurred on Adelanto Road and Air Expressway at around 5:57 p.m. September 18.
Authorities said Ysidro Pinon, 21, of Adelanto was driving a silver 2011 Ford Fusion north on Adelanto Road when he failed to stop for a red light and broadsided a tan 1999 Chevy Tahoe driven by Lyon.
The impact caused the Toyota to flip multiple times, ejecting Lyon from the vehicle.
April Lyon Killed in Adelanto Car Collision
Lyon was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Her husband and 6-year-old son were flown to Loma Linda University Hospital with major injuries.
Pinon suffered moderate injuries but declined medical transport.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
