Arla Gustafson Killed in Wilton Car Crash on Dillard Road
Wilton, California (July 25, 2022) – Arla Gustafson, 79, was killed in a traffic collision that happened in Wilton on Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck happened on Dillard Road on Sunday, July 24.
Gustafson was reportedly driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla westbound on Dillard Road when she went off the right shoulder of the road for unknown reasons.
She then overcorrected and drifted into the eastbound side, where she crashed head-on into a Hyundai.
Both Gustafson and the other driver were trapped in the wreckage.
Gustafson was pronounced deceased at Kaiser South Hospital.
The condition of the Hyundai driver and a 12-year-old passenger in the car was not immediately released.
Authorities do not believe DUI or speed played a role in the accident. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
