Highland Residents Ashley Gilroy and Marlee Maldonado among Three Killed in Multi-vehicle Collision in Rialto
Rialto, California (August 2, 2022) – The authorities have released the names of two people who died in a crash involving at least seven vehicles in Rialto Monday evening.
Three people, among them, 33-year-old Ashley Gilroy and 8-year-old Marlee Maldonado, both residents of Highland, suffered fatal injuries in the crash, that occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on August 1, on Riverside Avenue and Valley Boulevard.
Officials said that a Jeep Cherokee was speeding before it crashed the rear of a black Kia that was stopped at a red light killing Ashley and Marlee. The Jeep driver was also killed in the crash. The authorities have not released the name of the driver.

Rialto, California (August 2, 2022) – At least three people died following a major multi-vehicle collision at an intersection in Rialto on Monday evening, according to authorities.
The crash on Riverside Avenue and Valley Boulevard happened shortly before 7 p.m. on August 1.
According to authorities, seven vehicles were involved in the accident, which caused two of them to catch fire.
Three people died at the scene.
Two other parties were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
