Bakersfield, Calif. – Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 99 in Bakersfield Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck happened at around 11 a.m. on the northbound State Route 99 just north of White Lane.
Authorities said four vehicles were possibly involved, including a black sedan and a U-Haul truck. However, the manner in which they collided was not immediately established.
At least one person suffered injuries and was transported to Kern Medical by Hall Ambulance.
The identity of the victim and the extent of their injuries were not immediately disclosed.
The northbound lanes of the highway was blocked near Planz Road.
More details regarding the accident was not available.
An investigation is ongoing.
