Apple Valley, CA.- At least one person was killed in a car accident that happened in Apple Valley on Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred on the 15 Freeway near Hodge Road at about 2:24 p.m. July 8.
A gray Nissan Pathfinder SUV was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on I-15 when it slammed into the rear of a white Dodge Ram truck pulling a goose neck trailer.
The impact sent the Nissan airborne and it flipped multiple times, eventually coming to a rest on its wheels.
One person who got ejected from the Nissan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Another party was flown to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley with unspecified injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
