Merced, CA. – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Merced on Thursday morning, according to the Merced City Fire Department.
At least six vehicles were involved in the collision on Highway 99.
According to the report, two commercial vehicles and four passenger vehicles were involved in the incident.
One person was trapped in one of the vehicles and was extricated by firefighters.
At least three people were hospitalized with moderate to major injuries.
Four other patients were treated for minor injuries.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
