Responding crews located a white pickup truck, a black Hummer H2, and a white Chevrolet Silverado at the scene

Conta Costa County, Calif. – At least one person is dead following a three-vehicle traffic collision on Byron Highway in Contra Costa County Saturday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At about 6:29 p.m. the California Highway Patrol received reports of a head-on traffic collision on eastbound Byron Highway, just west of Holey Road.
Contra Costa County Fire Department crews responded to the scene and located a white pickup truck, a black Hummer H2, and a white Chevrolet Silverado. The Chevy was blocking both lanes of the Highway and one of the vehicles was in a ditch with its airbags deployed.
According to the CHP, at least one person was killed in the crash. It was not immediately if anyone else was injured in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
