Two vehicles were involved in a crash on the eastbound side of I-580 near Hopyard Road

Pleasanton, Calif. – Minor injuries were reported in a traffic collision that happened Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 580 in Pleasanton, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident happened at about 3:20 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the freeway, just east of the Hopyard Road on-ramp.
A Toyota Camry and a black Mercedes 4-door sedan were involved in the collision.
Emergency personnel found the Toyota Camry on the right-hand shoulder and the Mercedes sedan blocking the No. 3 lane.
At least one person was treated for minor injuries. It remained unclear if the patient was hospitalized.
The sedan was towed away with major front-end damage.
CHP is investigating the accident.
