Motorcyclist, Passenger Seriously Injured in Auburn Crash on Interstate 80 at Newcastle Road Friday afternoon
Auburn, California (November 12, 2021) – A motorcyclist and their passenger were seriously injured Friday afternoon in a collision with a vehicle in Auburn, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury crash was reported at around 11:23 a.m. on Interstate 80 at Newcastle Road.
The CHP report states that a motorcycle collided with a Toyota Rav 4 on the westbound side of the interstate.

Two people riding on the motorcycle suffered major injuries in the crash. Authorities described the two riders as male and female.
Authorities closed two of the three lanes while they investigated the accident. As of 12:26 p.m., all lanes were reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
