, California (December 12, 2021) – Austin Wong, 20, of Pasadena has been arrested following an auto accident that led to the death of a in Pasadena late last month.

According to authorities, Yangyang Liu, 33, of Pasadena, died following the accident that occurred on Allen Avenue and San Pasqual Street at about 11:19 a.m. November 26.

Police said Wong was driving a 2007 BMW 328i at a high rate of speed southbound on Allen Avenue when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with Liu, who was in the crosswalk walking across the street.

Liu sadly died at the site of the accident.

Austin Wong Arrested after Deadly Pasadena Pedestrian Accident

Police said Wong was arrested on Friday following the incident. 

He was booked into the Pasadena Police Department jail on vehicular manslaughter charges and his bail set at $50,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
