Ayanna Akilah Thomas identified as the woman fatally struck by a car on the 5 Freeway near Highway 50 in Sacramento
Sacramento, CA. – 22-year-old Ayanna Akilah Thomas has been identified as the woman who died after being hit by a car on Sunday morning in Sacramento.
The accident happened on Interstate 5 northbound at the U.S. 50 transition at around 12:39 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Thomas was walking across the road and was struck by a white Toyota.
Thomas was killed in the accident.
The female driver of the car was unhurt. She stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
