Balwinder Joshan Hurt in Taft Car Accident on Old River Road and Taft Highway

Taft, California (September 14, 2022) – 61-year-old Balwinder Joshan was injured in an early Wednesday morning crash involving a suspected DUI motorist in Taft, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities responded to the incident at around 12:30 a.m. in the area of Old River Road and Taft Highway.
According to the report, 26-year-old Madison Williams was driving a vehicle that collided with a house in the area.
The impact caused the house to burst into flames. County Fire Station 53 responded to the scene and worked to extinguish the fire.
The ceiling fell on four family members who were in the house the time of the incident
The four, identified as Balwinder Joshan, 25-year-old Princedeep Joshan, 25-year-old Rajwinder Joshan, and 21-month-old Rohundeep Joshan, were taken to hospital for treatment and the toddler reportedly had major injuries including a broken arm, fractured skull, and other internal injuries.
Williams was treated for minor injuries before being booked into the Kern County Jail on suspicion of DUI.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the crash.
