Barbara Moorhouse Killed in Bakersfield Bicycle Accident on Eucalyptus Drive near Fairfax Road

Bakersfield, California (November 16, 2021) – 60-year-old Barbara Ann Moorhouse has been identified by the Kern County Coroner's Office as the bicyclist who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday evening in southeast Bakersfield.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly accident occurred at about 5:48 p.m. in the 6601 block of Eucalyptus Drive, just east of Fairfax Road.
The Bakersfield woman was riding her bike across the street when, for unknown reasons, a blue Honda Civic struck her.

Responding paramedics pronounced Barbara dead at the scene.
The involved driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police. Authorities determined that the driver was not impaired at the time of the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
