Barry Alan Absec Killed in Phelan Crash Wednesday morning on Highway 138
Phelan, California (January 19, 2022) – 40-year-old Barry Alan Absec was killed in a Wednesday morning multi-vehicle collision in Phelan, the authorities said.
The deadly crash happened at around 6:42 a.m. on Highway 138, about a half-mile away from Highway 2, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Barry was driving a dark blue Ford F150 pickup truck when he collided head-on with a tractor-trailer on the highway.
A Honda Odyssey mini-van was also involved in the crash. The impact of the crash sent the mini-van down an embankment.

Despite life-saving rescue measures, Barry succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
No one else was hurt in the crash.
